Last Word
Sharp, herbal, and perfectly balanced, the Last Word is the kind of cocktail that makes an impression and doesn’t overstay its welcome. First crafted in the 1920s at the Detroit Athletic Club, it’s an equal-parts mix of gin, green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and lime juice. The result? Zesty, complex, and a little mysterious, with herbal, floral, and sour notes all vying for attention in the best way possible. Lost for decades, it made a roaring comeback in the early 2000s—and we’re very glad it did.
