Brooklyn
Sophisticated, slightly dry, and a bit of a hidden gem, the Brooklyn is like the Manhattan’s more mysterious sibling. First stirred up in the early 1900s, this cocktail combines rye whiskey, dry vermouth, maraschino liqueur, and a dash of Amer Picon or another bitter orange liqueur. The result is complex and layered, with hints of spice, cherry, and citrus bitterness. It’s a lesser-known classic that rewards the curious drinker—much like the borough itself.
